Local AVIF Converter

Convert your whole media library to AVIF and WebP for free, on your own server or right in your browser. No credits, no limits.

In development

Most image optimizers keep AVIF behind a paid plan or a monthly quota. Local AVIF Converter does it for free, with no limits and no account.

What it does

Converts every existing image and all thumbnail sizes to AVIF and WebP
Works on hosting without AVIF support by encoding in your browser
Serves the new formats with a safe fallback for older browsers
Keeps your originals untouched and lets you roll back at any time
